HOW SHALL WE DIE?

Jesus gave up His life for us so that we
would be empowered to give up our lives
for Him. Many know John 3:16 by
heart but not the next step of 1 John
3:16: Hereby know we love,
because he laid down his life for us:
and we ought to lay down our lives
for the brethren.
This is a most hated doctrine
to the flesh, yet the most necessary to
bear the essential fruit.
(Mat.16:24) Then said Jesus unto his
disciples, If any man would come
after me, let him deny
himself, and
take up his cross, and follow me.
(25) For whosoever would save his
life shall lose it: and whosoever
shall lose his life for my sake shall
find it.

We often consider faith as our
only resource to God’s power but He said
to the Apostle Paul concerning the many
circumstances in which he became
powerless to save himself, “My power is
made perfect in weakness.” Faith
and our weakness work together.
God’s power cannot come by man’s
works or it would not be by grace and He
would be sharing His glory with man.
Paul caught on to this principle when he
said, Most gladly therefore will
I rather glory in my weaknesses,
that the power of Christ may rest upon
me (2Co.12:9).

SPEAK

understanding of why speaking and
showing grace to others is so important.
In order to grow in the gift of faith,
we need to have the grace to receive it
rather than the condemnation that robs
God's children of the freedom that they
have in Jesus. There is a place for
condemnation but not in the life of one
who truly wants to obey and be holy. So,
accept the freedom that we have in Jesus
and walk in the love and grace that He
has shown us by sharing it with others.
